Security Features Overview
Section titled “Security Features Overview”Athenty Protect is built to keep your verified identity secure and to alert you if anything requires your attention. Key security features include:
- Real-time identity monitoring: Athenty Protect continuously monitors for suspicious activity associated with your verified identity. If a potential threat is detected, you receive an immediate push notification with details and recommended next steps.
- Biometric authentication: Access the app using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device’s native biometric authentication. This ensures that only you can view your identity documents and verification records, even if someone else has access to your device.
- Encrypted document storage: Any identity documents stored within Athenty Protect are encrypted on-device and in transit. Your documents are accessible only to you through biometric authentication.
Managing Secure Access
Section titled “Managing Secure Access”You can configure your security preferences in the Settings screen:
- Enable biometric login: Toggle Face ID or Touch ID to require biometric authentication each time you open the app.
- Set a backup PIN: Configure a numeric PIN as a fallback authentication method in case biometric authentication is unavailable.
- Session timeout: Choose how quickly the app locks after inactivity — options include 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 15 minutes.
Verification History and Alerts
Section titled “Verification History and Alerts”Athenty Protect maintains a complete record of your identity verifications:
- Verification history: View the date, type (Smart IDV or Smart KYC), and requesting organization for each verification you have completed.
- Alert history: Review past identity monitoring alerts, including resolved and active notifications.
- Push notifications: Receive real-time alerts for new verification requests, completed verifications, and any identity monitoring flags. Notification preferences can be customized in Settings.
