Integrating Athenty with Your Existing Tools

Athenty Secure provides a RESTful API that enables you to integrate identity verification directly into your existing onboarding workflows, CRM systems, or case management tools. Common integration patterns include:

  • Triggering verifications programmatically: Use the API to create and send verification requests without logging into the Athenty Secure dashboard.
  • Webhook notifications: Configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications when a verification is completed, reviewed, or flagged. This allows your systems to react immediately — for example, updating a client record or notifying a compliance officer.
  • Retrieving verification results: Pull completed verification reports, including document images, biometric match scores, and screening results, directly into your internal systems via the API.

For organizations onboarding multiple clients simultaneously — such as during a portfolio migration or a large mortgage pipeline — Athenty supports batch verification. Upload a list of clients and their contact information, and the platform will send verification requests to each client automatically, tracking progress and reporting results as they complete.

Athenty Secure allows you to configure verification workflows to match your specific compliance requirements:

  • Select verification types: Choose between Smart IDV (identity verification only) and Smart KYC (full KYC with PEP/sanctions screening, beneficial ownership, and enhanced due diligence) based on the risk level of the transaction.
  • Configure required steps: Enable or disable specific verification steps — such as proof of address, voice verification, or third-party declarations — to align with your regulatory obligations and internal policies.
  • Set notification preferences: Control how and when clients and team members receive verification-related communications.
